Exhibition Oct 8 - Oct 23

URBAN WILDERNESS + MAN-MADE NATURE is a photography exhibit showcasing two photographers' work beginning on October 8th with a speaking event on October 20th. The exhibit will include work on display both indoors and outdoors with images highlighting urban features of the city like the Atlanta BeltLine. Virginie Kippelen and Shannon Davis bring a fresh perspective to the urban forest of Atlanta and the importance of paying attention to how the people of a city transform the canopy.

Virginie seeks out nature in the city and creates images that reflect on her experience of walking in parks and green spaces in search of a sense of wilderness.

Shannon focuses on areas where man has consciously moved or manipulated nature in order to co-exist. She frames these innocuous reconstructed spaces as if they are beautiful natural landscapes.
