Atlanta: Changing Landscapes
Callanwolde Fine Arts Center
Featuring work by: Rob Simmons

Opening Reception Sep 18 7- 9pm

The Callanwolde Fine Arts Center Gallery is pleased to present Atlanta: Changing Landscapes, an exhibition of photographs by Atlanta artist Rob Simmons.

Rob Simmons is an Atlanta based photographer who was born in Albany, Georgia. Until discovering photography, Simmons had always felt like an artist without a medium. Photography has given him an outlet through which to focus his artistic eye on the everyday aspects of life. Whether shooting landscapes, architecture, documentary portraiture or figures, he enjoys pushing the boundaries beyond the expected as he aims to capture the unguarded essence of his subjects. Simmons gravitates toward long exposure night shooting using only available light, a process which allows him to create dramatic photographic effects that reinterpret the subject in a way all his own. These striking images open the viewer's eyes to the art and beauty in the commonplace world around us.

General Admission: $5
Free for Callanwolde members.
